Allow me to introduce you to surfing and why I love it.
I started surfing at the age of nine years old in a surf school. The beach was in Talmont st - hilaire in Vendée (Veillon beach) and the surf school is called (Le Poulpe). Since I was little, I've always loved being in the water. In fact, I used to swim, and occasionally I go to the pool.
Why surfing? Simply put, I love the feeling of freedom it gives me. It clears my mind and I think of nothing else but paddling to catch a wave, because surfing is all about waves and speed.
I appreciate being able to look ahead at the horizon, but most importantly, I feel useful in something. When I was younger, I had the physique of a surfer, but not anymore. I've had some health issues, but I still surf occasionally in the summer and around September if I can, because the waves are bigger during that time. It's important to know the tides, currents, and riptides.
I can surf in the Basque Country, but it's very rare. My usual spot is in Ragounite in Jard sur Mer at La Mine. I started by surfing on foam. I had the chance to own my first surfboard, but my goal is to get an intermediate level board called the fish and spend more time in the water because my parents live there.
I love the movie Point Break.

« SOMETIMES I SURF in the Basque Country*, but it's very rare. »
« I HAVE my own surfboard but my goal is to get EVENTUALLY an intermediate... »
« board called the fish** and spend more time in the water because my parents live there

“Allow me to introduce you to surfing and why I love it.”
Let me introduce you to surfing and why I love it.
“I started surfing at the age of nine years old in a surf school.”
I started surfing at the age of nine in a surf school.
'In fact, I used to swim'
I'm actually used to swim
(pour garder la concordance des temps)
'Why surfing?'
Why surf?
'I appreciate being able to look ahead at the horizon, but most importantly, I feel useful in something.'
I appreciate being able to look towards the horizon, but above all feeling useful in something.
I can surf in the Pays Basque
